A practical home for unfinished ideas.

Benchspace is a planning app concept for makers. It keeps project plans, materials, and build steps together. I wanted the digital tool to feel connected to making things by hand.

The logo.

I made a B from three simple blocks with open gaps between them. The pieces suggest a work surface and parts coming together.

Color and type.

Rust, cream, tan, and charcoal bring in the feel of wood and workshop materials. The layouts leave plenty of room for plans and checklists.

Putting it to use.

I showed the planner on a laptop and tablet, then added a project guide and printed planning sheets. The branding belongs to the app and its materials, with the home workbench providing context.
